BlueChip – Q2 and 1H 2026 Results
BlueChip’s great Q1 2026 momentum accelerated in Q2, resulting in our best 1H performance since early 2022.
Our results are attributable to the tremendous dedication of the BlueChip team, combined with the rapidly increasing recognition by leading brokers, law firms, and policyholders of the positive difference BlueChip is making in the U.S. market.
We continue to focus upon driving down the time and expense involved in underwriting R&W policies for SME transactions, along with active participation in highly qualified Tax Liability opportunities.
BlueChip’s 1H 2026 results as compared to 1H 2025 are as follows:
- Submissions were up 12% in 1H 2026.
- Although submissions were up marginally in Q2 on a year over year basis, a higher percentage of R&W submissions are now in the SME space.
- Gross Written Premiums (GWP) on a policy inception basis were up 80%.
- Policy count and active underwriting engagements were up 90%.
- Our average R&W policy limit continues to reflect our efforts to balance better the limits committed to gross written premiums.
- Primary R&W rates were up 12% and Excess Tax rates up more than 30%.
- Despite new entrants to the U.S. market in Q2 2026, rates continue to increase gradually with each passing month.
Although we expect continued challenges from geopolitical and economic uncertainty, our view is 2H of 2026 will be busy with a healthy chance the U.S. R&W SME deal space reflects outsized growth, while the Tax Liability market continues its steady expansion.
